Dr. Nampanzira Dorothy
Senior Lecturer and Head of Department

I bring 15 years’ experience in research involving livestock development, planning and management. With the Intergovernmental panel for Climate change (IPCC), I have worked with teams of multi-disciplinary authors across the globe to produce an IPCC report on Climate Change and Land (SRCCL). I have managed several projects to successful completion, recent one being a project on Reducing Emissions through deforestation and Degradation (REDD+), where I worked with over 50 senior and mid carrier multi-cultural scientists in Uganda, Tanzania and Norway. I have worked with farmers and other stake holders to develop livestock feed rations using resources that are locally available in communities in order to improve productivity of livestock hence livelihoods of the livestock smallholder farmers. I have 12 publications in reputable peer reviewed journals.
